The fifth race of the day on April 5th, 2025, the Aakriti Art Gallery Million, offered a handsome purse of ₹15,00,000, with ₹7,05,000 set aside for the winner. Contested over 1400 meters, the race delivered both quality and drama, drawing a sharp and evenly matched line-up that kept racegoers on the edge of their seats.
The race was dominated by JADE, trained by the red-hot P. Shroff and given a confident ride by jockey N. Bhosale. Sent off at odds of 2.50, the filly struck the front with authority and maintained her advantage in the final stages to post a winning time of 1:21.841. Her composed and commanding run marked another standout win for the Shroff camp.
Hot on her tail was stablemate CELESTIAL, also trained by P. Shroff and ridden by Vivek G. The gelding ran on strongly to finish second in 1:22.313, giving the yard a well-earned one-two result that underscored their dominant form on the day.
Rounding out the top three was the well-supported BASHIR, the tote favourite trained by Karthik Ganapathy and ridden by A. Sandesh. Despite a game effort, he could only manage third, stopping the clock at 1:22.361, narrowly behind CELESTIAL.
With the Aakriti Art Gallery Million wrapped up in style, the excitement only continues to build as attention shifts to the day’s showpiece event—the Zavaray S. Poonawalla Sprinters’ Challenge.
