Valuable racing and breeding prospects headline the Inglis Digital March Sale, which is now open for bidding, offering buyers a diverse catalogue that ranges from race-ready performers to broodmares, young stock and a stallion share.
Among the most notable offerings is Supercilious, a daughter of Written Tycoon who brings both racing form and a strong pedigree to the catalogue. A three-quarter sister to Group 2 winner Marine One and Group 1-placed sprinter Cannonball, she has already demonstrated ability on the track. As a juvenile she finished placed at Group 3 level in the Sires Produce Stakes before adding three further Stakes placings during her three-year-old season. She is presented in the sale as a valuable racing and breeding prospect.
Another key attraction is a share in the promising young stallion Wild Ruler, whose early results at stud have generated considerable interest.
Wild Ruler Share Adds Depth to Inglis Digital March Sale
From just his first 11 runners, Wild Ruler has already sired a Group 2 winner in Stretan Ruler, a colt who has quickly emerged as a leading contender among his generation. The stallion is also responsible for Stakes-performed two-year-old Savage Look, highlighting the early potential of his progeny.
Opportunities to secure equity in a young stallion with such a promising start are relatively rare, making the share a notable feature within the Inglis Digital March (Early) Sale catalogue.
Leading Hunter Valley nursery Arrowfield Stud has also contributed a six-horse draft that adds further quality to the offering. The consignment includes relations to Group 1 winners as well as broodmares carrying or accompanied by foals by stallions such as Maurice, Hitotsu and Vandeek.
Overall, the March (Early) catalogue features 288 entries, reflecting the breadth typical of the digital platform. The breakdown includes 145 racehorses — among them 62 race fillies — alongside 73 broodmares, 42 racehorse shares, 22 yearlings, three two-year-olds, two unraced horses and a single stallion share.
Several additional lots are expected to attract strong attention. Age Of Kings, a Group 3 Royal Ascot winner who has also competed at Group level in Australia, features among the racehorse entries. Brave Strike, placed at Group 3 level as a two-year-old and already a metropolitan winner, is offered as another racing and breeding prospect.
Exclusive Lass, herself a Stakes winner and already the dam of two Stakes performers, is catalogued in foal to Move To Strike. Farsight, a half-sister to three Stakes winners and closely related to the dam of Lady Shenandoah and Stronger, also stands out on pedigree.
Among the younger prospects, Loud Charlie is represented by two five-percent shares in the promising three-year-old who has already won two of his four starts and competed at Group level. Madame Maserati, a daughter of I Am Invincible who won three races in succession last season and has also raced in Stakes company, adds further depth to the catalogue.
Other notable lots include No Fooling, a dual-winning four-year-old by Alabama Express; No Limitation, a progressive three-year-old filly with two victories from eight starts; and Proud Katie, an unraced half-sister to Group 3 winner Public Attention, offered in foal to Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winner Private Life.
The broodmare ranks also include Sognani, the dam of Group 2 winner Kristilli, offered in foal to Brave Smash, and Tahuna, an attractive three-in-one package. The I Am Invincible mare is offered in foal to Golden Slipper winner Shinzo while also carrying a foal at foot by Jacquinot.
Among the racehorses likely to generate interest is The Real Mahjong, who remains unbeaten after two career starts and appears to have a promising future ahead. Ticket To Ride, placed at Group 3 level as a two-year-old, is offered in foal to the emerging stallion Harry Angel.
The catalogue is further strengthened by broodmares carrying or accompanied by foals from stallions such as All Too Hard, Bivouac, Capitalist, City Of Troy, Maurice, Schwarz, Shinzo, Southport Tycoon, St Mark’s Basilica, Traffic Warden and Vandeek. The yearling section features progeny by Blue Point, Home Affairs, So You Think, Star Turn, Tassort, Tiger Of Malay, Wild Ruler, Wootton Bassett and Zousain.
Prominent racing and breeding operations have supported the catalogue, including Ciaron Maher Racing, Waterhouse/Bott, Lloyd Kennewell, Segenhoe, Archibald Racing, Seymour Equine Services, Mullaglass, Anthony Freedman Racing, Newgate, First Light, O’Shea/Charlton, Coolmore and Yarraman.
Bidding for the Inglis Digital March Sale is currently underway, with the final countdown scheduled to close from 10am on Wednesday.
