The early July edition of the Inglis Digital Sale delivered a landmark result, generating over $7 million in total turnover, making it the fourth most successful auction in the platform’s history. A total of 15 horses were sold for six-figure sums, highlighting the growing demand and confidence in Inglis Digital’s thoroughbred marketplace.

One of the standout features of this sale was the complete clearance of 25 Godolphin lots, which brought in more than $2.15 million from 24 different buyers. Leading this group was Lavalier, a highly regarded stayer who fetched $380,000 and will now head to Western Australia under the care of Neville Parnham. His new owner, Santo Guagliardo, is already eyeing a Perth Cup run on New Year’s Day, reflecting strong belief in the horse’s potential for long-distance races. Guagliardo’s spontaneous final bid sealed the deal after multiple reconsiderations during the intense bidding process.

Trainer Neville Parnham echoed those sentiments, pointing out Lavalier’s maturity and stamina as key advantages. He expressed optimism about the horse’s future beyond Perth, suggesting a possible return to eastern Australia depending on performance. According to him, finding top-tier stayers is increasingly difficult, which made Lavalier a particularly appealing acquisition.

Following closely in price was an unraced two-year-old by Wootton Bassett, sold for $350,000 to Jaeger and Co Bloodstock. Another major sale was that of Pisces, a G3 performer from Godolphin, who fetched $330,000 and is bound for Hong Kong under new owner Calvin Tao. Tao, impressed by Pisces’ proven record, hopes to target the Four-Year-Old Series and achieve success in Class 3 company.

Other notable names heading to Hong Kong include Central Bank, purchased by Anthony Fan for $280,000. Fan noted his long-standing interest in the horse and expressed satisfaction with his first experience buying through the Inglis Digital platform. He appreciated the auction’s real-time bid extensions, which added excitement and fairness for international buyers.

The overall clearance rate for the sale stood at 77%, with expectations that this will rise further as post-sale negotiations conclude. Inglis Digital Business Manager Nick Melmeth praised the teamwork behind the scenes and acknowledged the marketplace’s increasing global influence. With a catalogue of this scale, operational efficiency was essential, and the strong results are testament to the dedication of the Inglis staff.

Attention now turns to the upcoming July (Late) Sale, which will run from July 25–30. This edition will feature Velocious, a G1-winning Champion 2YO by Written Tycoon, ensuring strong international participation once again. The sale will also mark the official debut of Inglis Digital’s upgraded website, which promises improved user experience for both buyers and vendors. Users are advised to familiarize themselves with the new platform and create their accounts in advance to avoid delays when the catalogue goes live.
