The Inglis Digital December (Late) Online Sale has opened with depth, pedigree and proven performance firmly at its centre, offering breeders and racing interests a carefully curated mix of stakes-producing mares, lightly raced performers and elite bloodstock opportunities as the year draws to a close.
Headlining the catalogue is Stop Making Sense, the Sebring mare best known as the dam of this season’s Group 3 Caulfield Classic winner Autumn Mystery. Offered as a compelling three-in-one package, she comes in foal to Move To Strike — the first Group 1-winning two-year-old by I Am Invincible — and has a Flying Artie colt at foot, making her one of the most attractive breeding prospects in the sale.
Another mare drawing strong attention is Merry Angelore, a daughter of Smart Missile and a close relation to Group 3 winner Aviatress. She is offered in foal to Castelvecchio, a young stallion who was fully booked at Arrowfield Stud this season, underscoring continued confidence in his early results.
Among the racing and breeding prospects, Deadly Desire stands out as a lightly raced four-year-old with immediate upside. A half-sister to Group 1 winner Ruthless Dame and two-year-old Stakes winner Torture, she has already found the winner’s circle from just five starts and is offered as a dual-purpose prospect.
One of the more intriguing catalogue inclusions is a 2.5 percent interest in Group 1 performer Within The Law. The Lucky Vega gelding has built an impressive record, including three Stakes victories and multiple top-level placings, and has accumulated more than $1.7 million in prize earnings to date. With further elite targets ahead, the offering provides access to a proven performer at the highest level.
Trilogy Racing features prominently in the Inglis Digital December (Late) Online Sale, offering an unreserved reduction across racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and shares. Among their 23 entries are a five percent interest in Golden Slipper runner-up Coleman, multiple three-in-one broodmare packages and a trio of Sejardan yearlings.
Trilogy Racing’s Jason Stenning said the decision reflects a broader strategic focus. “This reduction forms part of our shift towards quality over quantity,” he said. “We are refining our portfolio to ensure every mare and racing prospect aligns with our long-term elite ambitions, while continuing to provide genuine opportunities for buyers.”
In total, the December (Late) catalogue features 295 entries, comprising 124 racehorses, 89 racehorse shares, 53 broodmares, 17 yearlings, nine unraced horses and three two-year-olds. The breadth of stock ensures appeal across racing, breeding and long-term development pathways.
Additional highlights include Beat The Benchmark, a Group 1-placed mare offered in foal with a foal at foot; Canny Lassie, the dam of three Stakes winners; and Material Dreams, an undefeated juvenile and Stakes winner at three. Also featured are promising young performers such as Express Delivery, Peace Centre and Tennessee Spirit, alongside well-related breeding prospects like Full Of Beans, Mignonette and Puzzle Piece.
The sale further includes mares in foal to, or with foals by, leading stallions such as Castelvecchio, Flying Artie, Ghaiyyath, In The Congo, Pride Of Dubai, Sejardan and Spirit Of Boom, while yearlings and unnamed two-year-olds by I Am Invincible, Hanseatic, Tagaloa and State Of Rest add further depth.
Many of Australasia’s leading stables and nurseries are represented, including Waterhouse/Bott, Ciaron Maher, Gollan Racing, Lindsay Park, Michael Freedman, Kris Lees, Yulong and Belmont Bloodstock, reinforcing the strength and diversity of the offering.
Bidding for the Inglis Digital December (Late) Online Sale enters its final stages from 10am Wednesday, closing a catalogue that reflects both opportunity and quality across racing and breeding spheres.
