The catalogue for next week’s Chairman’s Sale has been finalised at 115 lots following the confirmation of 11 supplementary entries, further strengthening what was already shaping as one of the most compelling breeding stock auctions of the season.
Heading the late additions is this season’s Group 2 Reisling Stakes winner Chayan, a standout juvenile whose inclusion adds a rare dimension to the offering. She is joined by the dual Group-placed mare Vestas, along with Hazlebrook and Sizzlefly, both carrying foals by the highly regarded stallion Extreme Choice.
The supplementary list also features mares in foal to leading sires including I Am Invincible, Harry Angel and Stay Inside. Among the racetrack performers added are Group-performed Brigidine Gal and Southern Heiress, a three-year-old filly by Snitzel, ensuring the updated catalogue carries both depth and variety.
These additions slot into an already elite line-up that includes top-level performers and valuable broodmare prospects. Among them are Group 1 Goodwood Handicap winner Benedetta, triple Group 1 winner Provence and the millionaire mare Arabian Summer. The catalogue also features a broad spread of quality race fillies and mares such as Philia, Ahha Ahha, Appin Girl, Cashel Palace, Cosmonova, Dark Glitter, Eternal Flame, Good Banter, Infancy, In Flight, Jennilala, Just Feelin’ Lucky, Mare Of Mt Buller, Miss Icelandic, Snow In May, Spicy Martini, Terra Mater, The Black Cloud, The Playwright and Tiger Shark.
Pedigree strength is equally prominent, with notable inclusions such as Aeliana’s half-sister Sunshine In Capri and Classique Legend’s half-sister I Am Famous. Adding further appeal are the dams of three of this season’s four Group 1-winning two-year-olds in Australia—Advance Party (Fireball), Flamboyant Lass (Guest House) and Zouper Star (Streisand)—as well as the dam of Group 1-winning juvenile Captured By Love.
The Inglis Chairman’s Sale 2026 catalogue reflects a continued upward trajectory in quality and commercial appeal, particularly among proven race fillies and broodmare prospects.
The sale is scheduled to take place at Riverside Stables next Thursday evening, May 7, commencing at 4pm. It follows immediately after the Australian Weanling Sale, which runs across May 5 and 6 and features a catalogue of 504 lots.
Inglis Bloodstock Sales Manager Harry Bailey highlighted the significance of the final catalogue, noting the concentration of commercially attractive mares assembled for the event.
He pointed in particular to the inclusion of Chayan, describing it as an unusual opportunity for buyers given the rarity of high-class juveniles being offered at this stage of their careers. Bailey also emphasised the appeal of mares in foal to Extreme Choice, a stallion whose progeny continue to command strong attention across the industry.
Beyond the Chairman’s Sale, the adjoining weanling sale offers progeny by more than 100 stallions, including established names such as I Am Invincible, Snitzel, Zoustar, Frankel, Home Affairs and Anamoe, alongside a notable group of first-season sires. Inspections for the weanlings are set to begin at Riverside later this week, adding to the build-up around what promises to be a busy and closely followed period on the sales calendar.
