After the curtains fell on the Mumbai racing season on April 6, 2025, the action now shifts to the historic Bangalore Turf Club, as it prepares to host the much-awaited Summer Meeting 2025. Spanning from May 17 to August 1, this 24-day racing calendar promises to deliver electrifying moments for fans and punters alike. Known for its high-quality turf, competitive fields, and rich heritage, Bangalore’s summer meet continues to be one of the marquee attractions in the Indian horse racing circuit.

The opening day of the season, scheduled for May 17, is set to kick things off in style, blending the excitement of returning crowds with top-notch performances from India’s finest jockeys and horses. The action heats up quickly with the War Hammer Million on May 18, a race that has consistently thrilled fans with close finishes and emerging stars. Following this, the prestigious Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Cup takes center stage on May 25, setting a tone of elegance and tradition.

The momentum carries into June, starting with the Karnataka Juvenile Million (Grade III) on June 1, followed by the Krishnaraja Wadiyar Cup on June 8, both expected to showcase rising two- and three-year-old stars. The much-awaited Fillies’ Championship Stakes (Grade I) will be held on June 15, bringing the spotlight to the country’s best young female thoroughbreds.

June continues its momentum with the Chief Justice’s Cup (Grade III) on June 21, closely followed by the Colts’ Championship Stakes (Grade I) on June 22, adding serious weight to the mid-season competition. The Juvenile Sprinters’ Million (Grade III) on June 28 is another fan-favorite race, known for lightning-fast dashes to the finish. The month wraps up with the Chief Minister’s Cup on June 29, ensuring back-to-back top-tier racing action.

July opens with a bang on July 6, featuring the revered Maharaja’s Gold Cup (Grade II). The following weekend, on July 13, spectators will be treated to a thrilling double feature—the BTC Anniversary Cup (Grade II) and the season’s jewel, the HPSL Bangalore Summer Derby (Grade I). The classic Bangalore St. Leger (Grade III) is set for July 20, continuing the tradition of long-distance excellence.

Sprinters take the spotlight again on July 26 in the Bangalore City Sprint Championship Gold Cup, followed by the Karnataka Mile Championship Cup on July 27. As the season winds down, the Bangalore Summer Million on July 31 offers a final boost before the grand finale. The meeting concludes on August 1 with the celebrated Governor’s Cup (Grade III), wrapping up a season full of speed, power, and prestige.

Looking back, the Bangalore Winter Meeting, which ran from November 1, 2024, to March 22, 2025, provided a feast of excitement for fans and connections alike. The final day featured some sensational performances. POLE STAR stood tall in the Infinite Stakes (Maiden Horses), while TREASURE CHEST delivered a fiery win in the Press Reporters Cup (Div II). N R I VICTORY bagged the Champion Jockey Trophy (Div II), followed by MYSTICAL AIR, who surged ahead to win the Press Reporters Cup (Div I).

Later in the day, ALL ATTRACTION lived up to its name by securing the Champion Trainer Trophy, while N R I ACE clinched the Leading Stud Trophy. Ownership laurels went to ELPENOR, who secured the Leading Owner Trophy. The excitement built further in the Governor’s Trophy, where GOLD EMPIRE emerged victorious. CONNECTING DOTS claimed the Champion Jockey Trophy (Div I). The curtain fell on the winter season with a heartwarming win by CHINKY PINKY in the emotional Good-Bye Cup.
