Ice Of Fire wins spotlight event of BTC, The Coromandel Gromor Bangalore Million

Ice Of Fire, ridden by P. Trevor and trained by Prasanna Kumar, wins the 1400-meter Coromandel Gromor Bangalore Million at Bangalore Turf Club, finishing ahead of Echoes Of Time and Sicyon in the spotlight race of the day.

The Coromandel Gromor Bangalore Million was the feature event of Day 17 at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), drawing top three-year-olds for a 1400-meter terms race. Open to horses foaled in 2022, the race carried a total prize purse of ₹26,15,000, with ₹15,68,999 awarded to the winner.

Ice Of Fire, trained by Prasanna Kumar and ridden by P. Trevor, emerged victorious with a finishing time of 1:25.76. The winning runner is owned by P. Arun Kumar.

Echoes Of Time, trained by Pradeep Annaiah and ridden by Antony Raj S., finished second in 1:26.05. The runner-up is owned by Sohna Stud Farm Pvt Ltd.

Sicyon, from the yard of S. S. Attaollahi and ridden by A. Sandesh, secured third place in 1:26.40 for M/s. Blazing Saddles (PF), represented by Niraj Tyagi and Vikas Sachdeva.

The race was run just shy of the 2024 race record of 1:23.002 set by Once You Go Black, but Ice Of Fire displayed excellent form in a race packed with quality.

With the spotlight event completed, attention shiftes to the penultimate race of the afternoon, The Chennai Cup, scheduled at 4:30 pm.
