Ice of Fire produced a powerful late surge to capture The D. Kumar Siddanna Memorial Trophy, the fifth race on Day 11 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting held on Saturday, June 21st, 2025. The 1400-meter handicap race, open to horses rated 40 to 65, carried a total prize money of ₹6,30,000.

Trained by Prasanna Kumar and ridden with confidence by Vivek G., Ice of Fire clocked 1:24.20 to edge past rivals and secure the win for owner Mr. P. Arun Kumar. The runner showed grit and determination down the straight, finding an extra gear when it mattered most.

Finishing a close second was Aquastic, handled by Akshay Kumar for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, who gave a solid account but was just short at the wire, stopping the clock at 1:24.48.

Third place went to Challenge Accepted, who stayed on gamely under A. Sandesh for Adhiraj Singh Jodha, showing continued form in this class range and finished at 1:24.82.

With the fifth race concluded, all eyes are now on the day’s feature event — The Chief Justice’s Cup, a marquee contest offering a total purse of ₹23,32,500. With conditions perfect and competition fierce, another thrilling finish is on the cards.
