Continuing its monsoon racing programme, Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) will conduct a six-race meeting with the Hyderabad Racecards 7 September programme scheduled to commence at 2:10 PM and conclude at 5:05 PM. The afternoon will encompass contests over distances ranging from 1200m to 1800m, bringing together maiden three-year-olds and experienced handicap performers across a varied programme. The six races will carry prize money ranging from Rs.6,50,000 to Rs.12,25,000.
The opening contest will be THE CHAITANYA CHAKRAM PLATE, scheduled for 2:10 PM over 1400m, with total prize money of Rs.12,25,000. Restricted to maiden three-year-old horses, the race will provide an opportunity for several lightly raced runners to establish themselves. French Lieutenant, Mantle Plume, Ashwa Jaffna, Belgium Waffle, Classy Touch, Costa Mesa, Evansville and Khamagani will be among the named runners, with further entries also set to complete the field.
The afternoon will progress to THE KHAMMAM PLATE, which will take place at 2:45 PM over 1800m for Rs.12,25,000. Open to three-year-olds and upward, the contest will represent the longest-distance assignment on the card. Gold Empire, Truth, Nonpariel, Winfield, Get Lucky, Shadow Of The Moon, N R I Superpower and Secret Saint will be among the runners listed for the race. The extended journey will place considerable emphasis on stamina and the ability to sustain a consistent pace through the closing stages.
Attention will then turn to THE MAHABUBNAGAR PLATE (DIV I) at 3:20 PM, with the Class II handicap scheduled over 1200m for Rs.8,40,000. The event will be restricted to horses aged five years and upward rated 60 to 85. Vivaldo, Knight Crusader, Decoy, Darling’s Boy, Annhilator, Azrinaz, Star Forever and Detective will be among the named contenders. The sprint distance will demand early positioning and sustained speed, with the higher-rated runners expected to provide the principal competitive interest.
The programme will reach its fourth event with THE MANCHERIAL PLATE, due off at 3:55 PM over 1600m and carrying Rs.6,50,000 in total prize money. The Class IV handicap will be open to horses aged five years and upward rated 20 to 45. Bold Beauty, Take A Breath, Sunny Day, Only My Way, Silver Arrow, Hoping High, Secret Option and Shubhrak will be among the declared runners. The mile journey will offer a more measured test than the preceding sprint and will require the field to maintain its rhythm before producing a sustained finish.
Later on the card, THE BHADRACHALAM TROPHY will provide the fifth contest at 4:30 PM, with the Class III handicap set to cover 1200m for Rs.7,40,000. The race will be open to horses aged three years and upward rated 40 to 65. Dubai Touch, Dyanoosh, Warwick, See The Light, Clara, Kalki, Pole Star and Flying Fury will be among the listed runners, alongside additional entries. The competitive rating bracket will ensure that the field will contain a mixture of established performers and horses capable of making further progress.
The meeting will culminate with THE MAHABUBNAGAR PLATE (DIV II) at 5:05 PM, with the second division of the Class II handicap scheduled over 1200m for Rs.8,40,000.
