Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) staged an eight-race programme on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with Akshay Kumar producing a notable riding double aboard PERCEPTION and EK. The jockey guided PERCEPTION to victory in The Turf Authorities of India Trophy before returning to the winner’s enclosure on EK in The Royal Western India Turf Club Trophy.
The opening contest, The Delhi Race Club Trophy, was won by BEAST MASTER, who was ridden by P. Sai Kumar and trained by K.S.V. Prasad Raju. The winner completed the race in 1:27.775 for owners M/s Mukund Kakani & S Prasad Raju. GOLDEN AURA finished second, while MOONLITE ROSE took third.
RANI RUCKUS secured The Bangalore Turf Club Trophy under G Naresh for trainer Robin Reddy Kondakalla. The winner clocked 1:41.128 and raced for owner Mr Rakesh Reddy Kondakalla. SUNNY DAY finished second, with SECRET OPTION in third.
Akshay Kumar’s first success came aboard PERCEPTION in The Turf Authorities of India Trophy. Trained by Robin Reddy Kondakalla and owned by Mr Rakesh Reddy Kondakalla, PERCEPTION recorded a winning time of 1:41.414. UCHCHAIHSHRAVAS finished second and STAR OF NIGHT secured third.
The Madras Race Club Trophy went to ONE NATION, with P. Trevor riding for trainer R.H. Sequeira. ONE NATION stopped the clock at 1:53.641 for owner Col K S Garcha. PRISTINE GLORY finished runner-up, while PLEDGE was third.
AYUSHMAN followed with victory in The Royal Calcutta Turf Club Trophy (Div I), with Afroz Khan partnering the winner for trainer D. Netto. AYUSHMAN completed the contest in 1:12.105 for owners M/s Dhruv Rajesh Sanghani, Mirza Ayub Baig & Avanindra Kumar Dandamudi. STAR OF OPERA finished second and HIGH SPEED DIVE took third.
Akshay Kumar then completed his double aboard EK in The Royal Western India Turf Club Trophy. Trained by Magan Singh Parmar and owned by Mr Syed Mohiuddin Mufeed, EK registered a winning time of 1:07.020. CATCHME IF YOU CAN finished second, while DUBAI TOUCH secured third.
The Race2Win Foundation Hyderabad Deccan Derby went to BUDDY, with Mukesh Kumar riding for trainer Magan Singh Parmar. BUDDY completed the feature contest in 2:04.965 for owners Mr Subodh Kumar Ananthula & Dr Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni. MOONVEIL finished second, while MAHOGANY took third.
The concluding contest, The Mysore Race Club Trophy (Div I), was won by DONTBLOCKMYWAY, ridden by Sonu Kumar and trained by Mir Faiyaz Ali Khan. The winner clocked 1:14.193 for owner Mr Syed Mohiuddin Mufeed. EXCALIBUR finished second, with COMING HOME taking third.
