The concluding contest of the afternoon, Race 7 — The Malvado Plate, a Class V handicap for horses rated up to 25 — was run over 1100 metres at 06:05 PM during the Hyderabad Winter Races 2026 (6th Day, Tuesday, March 24, 2026), and it was Noorian who delivered a decisive performance to close proceedings on a high note. Ridden by Akshay Kumar and trained by S S F Hassan, the winner, owned by M/s Chukkala Ashok & Sardar Jivtesh Singh, capped the day with a confident display that stood out among the Hyderabad race results 24 March updates.
Breaking well from the gates, Noorian settled into a handy position just off the early pace as the field charged through the sprint trip. Akshay Kumar judged the tempo perfectly, bringing his mount into contention at the right moment before asking for a final effort. Noorian responded with a sharp turn of foot in the closing stages, asserting control and keeping challengers at bay to seal the victory in style.
Dhanadeepa, under Antony Raj S. for trainer Magan Singh Parmar, chased gamely but had to settle for second, while Iconic Star, partnered by Rafique S K and trained by Mir Faiyaz Ali Khan, ran on to claim third, completing the frame in a competitive sprint finish.
Earlier in the day, the card got underway with Catchme If You Can striking in The Business Tycoon Plate over 1400 metres, with Antony Raj S. riding for trainer Magan Singh Parmar and owners Col M P Singh & Mr Shailendra Singh, while Sadiya and Smart Boy filled the minor placings. The Rising Star Plate saw The Last Avtar deliver over 1200 metres under Akshay Kumar for trainer K Satheesh, with Advait finishing second and Excalibur third.
The Brave Hunter Plate produced a solid performance from Ayushman, ridden by Kuldeep Singh (Sr) and trained by D Netto for The Estate of Late Mr Rajesh Sanghani along with partners, as Emerald Touch and Greif followed home. In The Medchal Plate, Arthisha continued the good run for Akshay Kumar and Magan Singh Parmar, scoring over 1200 metres ahead of Konaseema and Onslaught.
The Khammam Plate over 1800 metres saw Andre’ stay on strongly under Antony Raj S. for trainer Bharath Singh and a large ownership group, with Corte Madera and Pride Aside taking the next two spots. The penultimate race, The Telangana Plate over a mile, was claimed by Cherie Chevalier, with Neeraj Rawal in the saddle for trainer K S V Prasad Raju, while Reigning Beauty and N R I Superpower completed the placings.
With Noorian’s win bringing the curtain down on the sixth day of the Hyderabad Winter Races 2026, the meeting concluded on a well-contested and competitive note, leaving followers looking ahead to the next day’s racing action at the venue.
