Saturday’s six-race programme at Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) produced victories for French Lieutenant, Cosmic Gift, She’s A Bomb, One N Only, Zuccaro and Onslaught. The meeting featured The Rock of Gibraltar Plate, two divisions of The Falaknuma Trophy, The Totaram’s Cup, The President of India Gold Cup and The Nelston Plate. Zuccaro secured the major race of the programme, while trainer D. Netto recorded a double through She’s A Bomb and One N Only.
French Lieutenant opened the meeting with victory in The Rock of Gibraltar Plate. Ridden by Antony Raj S. and trained by L. V. R. Deshmukh, French Lieutenant completed the race in 1:13.408. My Touch finished second, while Gacchanmanasvin secured third place. The winner was owned by M/s Zaveri Stud Farm Private Limited, represented by Mr Champaklal Zaveri, Mrs Bindu C. Zaveri, Miss Harsha N. Desai and Miss Niti N. Desai.
The second contest, Division II of The Falaknuma Trophy, went to Cosmic Gift. P. Trevor partnered the winner for trainer A. Imran Khan, with Cosmic Gift recording a time of 1:07.128. My Way My Rules finished second, while Beverley took third place. Cosmic Gift was owned by Mr Rajendran, representing Rapar’s Galloping Stars LLP.
Division I of The Falaknuma Trophy produced another winner as She’s A Bomb secured the top position. Surendra Singh rode the winner for trainer D. Netto, and the horse completed the race in 1:07.769. La Quinta finished second, while American Affair was third. She’s A Bomb was owned by Ms G Krishnamohan Rao, P. Ranga Raju and Mirza Ayub Baig.
One N Only provided D. Netto with his second success of the afternoon in The Totaram’s Cup. Akshay Kumar partnered the winner, who completed the race in 1:12.525. Emerald Touch finished second and Black Onyx secured third place. One N Only was owned by Ms Rama Seshu Eyunni, Shankar Srinivas, Ashok Ranpise and Donald Anthony Netto.
The President of India Gold Cup was won by Zuccaro, who secured the feature-race honours on the Hyderabad Race Club programme. Vivek G. partnered the winner for trainer P. Shroff, with Zuccaro completing the contest in 2:28.881. DYF finished second, while Vyasa took third place. Zuccaro was owned by Ms Five Stars Shipping Company Private Limited, represented by Ms K. N. Dhunjibhoy and Z. K. Dhunjibhoy, along with Ms Anosha Meyers, Ms Vispi R. Patel, A. S. Narielwala, Eruch Adi Mody, Ms Anita J. Captain, Mr D. P. Adenwalla and Mrs D. P. Adenwalla.
The final race, The Nelston Plate, went to Onslaught. Imran Chisty partnered the winner for trainer S. A. Raza Shehzad, with Onslaught recording a winning time of 1:43.100. Valledonna finished second, while Hoping High secured third place. Onslaught was owned by Mr S. A. Shehzad Abbas, Dr Syed Ainuddin Arif, Ms Yadugiri Kiran Kumar and Bhaskara Raju Adipudi.
The meeting produced six different winners across its six races, with each contest going to a different horse. D. Netto was the only trainer to record more than one victory, with She’s A Bomb winning Division I of The Falaknuma Trophy before One N Only followed in The Totaram’s Cup.
The jockeys also shared the six victories, with Antony Raj S., P. Trevor, Surendra Singh, Akshay Kumar, Vivek G. and Imran Chisty each partnering one winner. French Lieutenant, Cosmic Gift, She’s A Bomb, One N Only, Zuccaro and Onslaught completed the winning list, while My Touch, Gacchanmanasvin, My Way My Rules, Beverley, La Quinta, American Affair, Emerald Touch, Black Onyx, DYF, Vyasa, Valledonna and Hoping High filled the remaining podium places.
The Hyderabad Race Results 19 September featured six races at Hyderabad Race Club, with Zuccaro taking The President of India Gold Cup and D. Netto recording a training double.
