The final race of the day at Hyderabad Winter Races 2025-2026, Race 7 – THE NARAYANPET PLATE DIV II – delivered a thrilling finish, and the latest Hyderabad race results 17 March highlight a standout performance by Authoritarian. Over 1100m for Class IV horses aged four years and older rated 20 to 45, Authoritarian (J: Ajay Kumar) guided by Mr Cyrus F Palia & Kunwar Digvijay Singh Shekhawat surged ahead at the right moment to close the day with a decisive victory.
From the break, Authoritarian asserted his presence, racing prominently just off the pace before making a decisive move in the straight. With judicious timing from Ajay Kumar, he surged past his rivals to claim the lead and maintain it to the finish, demonstrating both tactical intelligence and finishing power that left spectators impressed.
EK (J: Afroz Khan, T: R. H. Sequeira) ran a strong race to finish second, staying close to the winner throughout the home stretch. My Honey (J: Kuldeep Singh Sr., T: D Netto) finished third, showing late determination to secure a podium finish. The top three were closely contested, highlighting the competitive spirit of the division.
Earlier in the day, excitement built from the first race onwards. Race 1 – THE NARAYANPET PLATE DIV I over 1100m – saw Diligence (J: Kuldeep Singh Sr., T: Laxman Singh) claim a confident win for M/s Villoo Poonawalla Racing & Breeding Private Limited, with Red Hot Punch and Fox Worth completing the frame. Race 2 – THE FLIRTING VISION PLATE at 1200m – witnessed N R I Range (J: Afroz Khan, T: M Srinivas Reddy) triumph for Mr Ravinder Reddy, followed by Knotty Senorita and Dream To Fly.
In Race 3 – THE ONNU ONNU ONNU PLATE DIV I over 1400m – Vyasa (J: A. Ashhad Asbar, T: G Sandeep) for Mr G V Reddy showed strong finishing speed, while Lucky Zone and Pacific Heights took the minor placings. Race 4 – THE MOSSY BANK PLATE (1400m) saw Bhairava (J: P Ajeeth Kumar, T: Ananta Vatsalya) secure victory for Mr T Rakesh Reddy, with Rival and Clefairy completing the top three.
Race 5 – THE HYDERABAD PLATE over 1100m featured Knotty Circuit (J: P. Sai Kumar, T: A Imran Khan) taking the win for M/s Krishnan Kamesh, KBalamukunda Das, Manoj Krishnappa Kumar, Srikanth Badruka & Dharmesh Mehta, followed by Divine Tiger and Fugo. Race 6 – THE ONNU ONNU ONNU PLATE DIV II at 1400m ended with Northern Waves (J: Suraj Narredu, T: G Shashikanth) holding off Cherie Chevalier and Secret Saint to take the spoils for Mr V Narendar Reddy.
With the curtain closing on Hyderabad Winter Races 2025-2026 Day 4, racing fans were treated to a thrilling finale and a showcase of tactical skill across all seven contests, leaving anticipation high for the next meet.
