Hyderabad Race Club witnessed six races on Monday, September 14, 2026, with Vinfast, Modin, Tiger Ruby, Mix The Magic, Clefairy and Bold Beauty emerging victorious. Akshay Kumar and trainer A. Imran Khan were the leading performers of the afternoon, recording two wins each.
Vinfast opened the winning account in The Nearco Plate (Div II), completing the 1100-metre contest in 1:08.097 under jockey Akshay Kumar. Trained by Neelesh Rawal, the six-year-old gelding finished ahead of Divine Strides, with Trend Setter taking third place. Vinfast represented the interests of M/s Stride Livestock Private Limited, represented by Dr Ram H Shroff, Mr Raj Shroff and Mr Chetan Shantilal Shah.
The Nearco Plate (Div I) went to Modin, who secured victory in 1:07.584 with P. Ajeeth Kumar in the saddle. Trained by L.V.R. Deshmukh, Modin finished in front of My Touch, while Costa Mesa took third. The winner was owned by M/s Soma Raju Adipudi and Aditya P Thackersey.
Tiger Ruby then prevailed in The K. Srinivas Reddy Memorial Trophy (Div II), completing the race in 1:27.980. Darshan R.N. partnered the winner, who was trained by Mir Faiyaz Ali Khan. First Lady finished second and Armstrong was third. Tiger Ruby was owned by M/s Srinivasa Rao Mogili and Ravi Teja Addepalli.
Akshay Kumar added his second victory of the afternoon when Mix The Magic won The Makalu Plate (Div I). The horse stopped the clock at 1:15.248 under Kumar, with Magan Singh Parmar handling the training duties. Golden Unicorn finished second, followed by Aashritha Pet in third. The winning combination gave Akshay Kumar his second success of the meeting after his earlier victory aboard Vinfast.
Clefairy produced another strong performance in The K. Srinivas Reddy Memorial Trophy (Div I), registering a time of 1:27.712. A. A. Vikrant guided the winner, who was trained by A. Imran Khan. Krystallos finished second and Noble Heart took third, while Clefairy was owned by Mr Hothur Sajjad Wahab.
The final race, The Makalu Plate (Div II), produced a change from the earlier result details, with Bold Beauty claiming the victory in 1:16.371. Ridden by P. Sai Kumar and trained by Neelesh Rawal, the six-year-old bay mare finished 2¾ lengths ahead of Hurricane Wave. Hurricane secured second while Dhanadeepa was third.
The final result also meant that A. Imran Khan secured his second success of the meeting through Clefairy, while Hurricane Wave finished runner-up in the closing race. Akshay Kumar’s two victories, meanwhile, came aboard Vinfast and Mix The Magic.
With six races producing six different winners, the Hyderabad meeting delivered a well-spread set of results. Vinfast and Modin accounted for the two divisions of The Nearco Plate, while Tiger Ruby and Clefairy shared the honours in The K. Srinivas Reddy Memorial Trophy. Mix The Magic and Bold Beauty completed the winners’ list through the two divisions of The Makalu Plate.
The results also highlighted the consistency of several riders and trainers during the afternoon. Akshay Kumar’s double was one of the key achievements, while A. Imran Khan also recorded two victories through Clefairy and was represented by Hurricane Wave in the closing race. Neelesh Rawal was responsible for two notable performers as Vinfast won earlier in the programme and Bold Beauty completed the meeting with victory in the final contest.
