The opening contest of the day, Race No. 1 – The Zurbaran Plate, a Class IV handicap for maiden horses aged four years and upward rated 20 to 45, was run over 1200 metres at 03:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, during the Hyderabad Winter Races 2025–2026. In a well-measured effort, FOX WORTH delivered a decisive performance under Mukesh Kumar to secure victory for trainer D Netto. Representing Mr Mirza Ayub Baig, The Estate of Late Mr Rajesh Sanghani, and Mr Suchit Jayraj Shah, the winner made a strong start to the afternoon’s proceedings.

In what shaped up as an engaging Hyderabad race result 31 March opener, FOX WORTH travelled comfortably through the early stages before being urged forward approaching the final furlong. Showing a sharp turn of foot, the gelding responded gamely to take control in the closing stages, asserting authority over the field with a composed finish.

ANALYSIS, ridden by G Naresh and trained by Robin Reddy Kondakalla, put up a solid effort to claim the runner-up spot after staying on steadily in the straight. ATREYA, under B. Nikhil for trainer Magan Singh Parmar, finished third, keeping on without quite matching the winner’s acceleration late in the race.
