Akshay Kumar timed his challenge perfectly aboard the Magan Singh Parmar-trained runner, owned by Mr Syed Mohiuddin Mufeed, to record 1:07.614. QUEEN ETERNAL, ridden by B. R. Kumar for R. H. The curtain came down with The Tenacity Plate, a 1200-metre Class II handicap for horses rated up to 25, where ILENE completed a memorable afternoon for both jockey B. R. Kumar and trainer R. H. Sequeira. Racing in the colours of Mr S. Pathy, ILENE proved the strongest at the finish to take the closing event. ALWAYS SPECIAL, ridden by Arjun for trainer Ananta Vatsalya, finished second, while FORTUNE ART, with A. Ashhad Asbar aboard for G. Sandeep, completed the top three.
