The action gathered pace on Day 5 of the Hyderabad Winter Races 2025-2026 on Monday, March 23, as Race 2, The Yadadri Plate, a maiden contest for three-year-old horses over 1100 metres at 03:30 PM, saw Buddy deliver a sharp and assured performance to open his account. Trained by Magan Singh Parmar and ridden with intent by Mukesh Kumar, the gelding justified support with a polished run for owners Mr Subodh Kumar Ananthula & Dr Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni. In a card that followers tracking the Hyderabad race result 22 March would note closely, Buddy stamped himself as a sprinter of promise.

Breaking alertly, Buddy was positioned prominently from the outset, travelling smoothly just off the early pace before being nudged into contention approaching the final furlong. Mukesh Kumar timed his move to perfection, asking for an effort at the right moment as Buddy responded gamely, quickening clear to assert authority in the closing stages. The manner of victory suggested there was more in reserve than the bare margin indicated.

Yali, trained by Bharath Singh and ridden by Antony Raj S., ran a creditable race to finish second after staying on steadily in the straight, while Quattro, from the yard of R. H. Sequeira and partnered by Santosh Raj N R, claimed third after making late headway. The trio were well clear of the remainder, underlining the competitive edge of the finish.

With this race concluded, attention now shifts to The Osman Sagar Plate Div I scheduled at 04:05 PM, where the tempo of the afternoon is expected to rise further.
