In a thrilling start to the second day of the Hyderabad Winter Races 2025-2026, Race 1, The Sir Bruce Plate, Class IV handicap for horses aged five years and older rated 20 to 45, over 1400 metres, delivered plenty of excitement. On Tuesday, 10 March 2026, at 3:30 PM, Wolf Creek (J: B R Kumar, T: R H Sequeira), racing in the colours of M/s Imran Isa Sayyed, S Saleem Shah & The Estate of Late Mr L D’Silva, produced a commanding performance to secure a memorable victory, making this day’s Hyderabad race result 10 March an early highlight for punters and racing fans alike.

From the outset, Wolf Creek settled just off the pace, conserving energy while maintaining a clear line down the centre of the track. Approaching the final 300 metres, the five-year-old surged past the leaders with a smooth, well-timed acceleration, leaving the field scrambling to respond. B R Kumar’s confident steering and timely use of the whip ensured Wolf Creek drew clear in the final strides to cross the finish line with authority.

The runner-up honours went to Cape May (J: Ajay Kumar, T: K S V Prasad Raju), who tracked the winner throughout and finished strongly but could not close the decisive gap. Sadiya (J: H M Akshay, T: Ananta Vatsalya) claimed third place, rounding out the podium after a late burst of speed. The top three proved competitive, though Wolf Creek’s class was evident on the day.

As the applause faded, attention quickly turned to The Jangaon Plate, scheduled for 4:00 PM, promising another thrilling contest as Hyderabad’s winter racing action continues.
