The second day of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races 2025 is all set to begin on July 22nd, 2025 at the historic Malakpet Racecourse. Racing enthusiasts can gear up for eight competitive events with the first race starting at 1:00 pm and the last scheduled for 4:55 pm, offering a full afternoon of thrilling action on the turf.

Highlights from Hyderabad Monsoon Races – July 22, 2025

The day opens with The Royston Rock Plate, a 1400-metre race reserved for 3-year-old maidens. With a winner’s prize of Rs.551,250, it features promising young thoroughbreds like Authoritarian (J: Gaurav Singh, T: M. Srinivas Reddy), Quick Bay Fox, and Arabeska.

Up next at 1:30 pm, The Malakpet Plate (Division – I) is a 1200-metre handicap for older horses rated 20 to 45. The field includes Shadow Baby, Silver Lining, and Rolls Royce, all competing for Rs.292,500 in prize money.

Race 3, The Firecrest Plate (Division – I) at 2:00 pm, stretches over 1400 metres for horses rated 40 to 65. Among the main runners are Detective, True Icon, and Sugar, with Rs.333,000 up for grabs.

The feature event at 2:35 pm, The Godavari Cup, showcases a strong mix of 3-year-olds and older runners like Ayushman, Petaluma, and Beverley. The trophy value is Rs.20,000, with a winning purse of Rs.292,500.

Another division of The Firecrest Plate follows at 3:10 pm, where horses such as China Town, Get Lucky, and Miss Marvellous battle over 1400 metres for the same prize of Rs.333,000.

At 3:45 pm, the spotlight shifts to The K. Srinivas Reddy Memorial Cup, a 1100-metre sprint for experienced 5-year-olds and older. This memorial race holds sentimental value, and with Rs.333,000 prize money and a commemorative trophy, contenders like Amyra, She Can, and High Reward will draw close attention.

The penultimate event, The Malakpet Plate (Division – II) at 4:20 pm, mirrors its earlier division with a 1200-metre trip for horses rated 20 to 45. Horses such as Vital Sign, Petra Act, and Path Of Peace headline the race.

The closing contest is The Fairway Plate at 4:55 pm, another 1100-metre handicap for lower-rated horses (upto 25). Horses like Country’s Maximus, Natu Natu, and Genie will vie for the final winner’s purse of Rs.225,000.

Malakpet Racecourse will once again host the Hyderabad Monsoon Races in what promises to be a landmark day in Indian flat racing.
