Jump racing takes centre stage at Huntingdon Racecourse on Wednesday, March 11, as the Cambridgeshire venue stages a competitive seven-race National Hunt programme from 1:38pm to 5:35pm. The afternoon meeting features a mix of novice hurdles, handicap hurdles, steeplechases and a concluding National Hunt Flat race, providing opportunities for both developing jumpers and experienced campaigners.
With race distances ranging from two miles to just over three miles, the card offers a variety of stamina tests and tactical contests. The most valuable race on the programme is the maiden hurdle at 2:58pm, which carries £10,000 in prize money and has attracted the largest field of the afternoon.
The meeting begins at 1:38pm with The Best Odds Guaranteed Overnight Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle Race, a Class 5 contest over 2m 5f 59y worth £7,000. Fourteen runners are expected to line up in this opening race, where improving novices will look to gain valuable handicap experience over a testing trip.
At 2:18pm, attention turns to The Daily Profit Boost Handicap Steeple Chase, a Class 5 contest run over 2m 4f 53y for £7,250. Six runners will compete over the larger obstacles in what promises to be a tactical race over the intermediate chasing distance.

The fifth race at 4:18pm is The Mares’ Handicap Hurdle Race, a Class 5 contest over 2m 4f 51y with eight runners competing for £6,750. The race gives mares an opportunity to showcase their staying ability over the intermediate trip.
Stamina will be thoroughly tested at 4:55pm in The First Past The Post Handicap Steeple Chase, a Class 5 race over 3m 8y worth £7,250. Six runners are set to tackle the longest trip of the day in what could develop into a demanding staying chase.
The afternoon concludes at 5:35pm with The Supporting UK Horse Racing National Hunt Flat Race, a Class 5 bumper run over 2m 63y for £4,000. Nine runners will line up in this closing contest, which often provides a platform for promising young horses beginning their racing careers.
