Mysore Races: Worldly Wise shines bright in The Konark Plate Div-1

Day 9 of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 maintained its thrilling momentum as Worldly Wise delivered a commanding performance to win The Konark Plate Div-1, a 1200-meter handicap for horses rated 20 to 45, run at 2:30 PM. Ridden by S. Imran and trained by Ganesh J, the 6-year-old gelding stopped the clock at 1:12.349, earning the top prize of ₹2,25,000.

The winner is owned by M/s. Yogesh. J & S.D. Aravindh, and impressed with a front-running effort that saw him dictate the pace and draw clear in the final meters. Worldly Wise showcased both speed and control in a field packed with evenly matched competitors.

Finishing second was Mark One, trained by Bobby M and partnered by jockey M. Prabhakaran, who came home in 1:13.268. Though no match for the winner, Mark One ran on well to secure a clear runner-up spot.

Completing the top three was One Diamond, trained by Monnappa C D and ridden by Faiz, who finished in 1:13.394, holding off a late challenge to preserve third place.
