The excitement continued on Day 9 of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 as Sea The Sun produced a spirited performance to win The Shuntikoppa Plate Div-2, a 1400-meter handicap for horses rated 60 and above. The race, offering a prize purse of ₹7,00,000, was run at a competitive pace.
Trained by Vishal Yadav and ridden by H. Rahul, Sea The Sun clocked 1:24.308, narrowly edging out the competition to claim top honors. The winner, owned by Mr. Raj Ramprasad Singh, showed tremendous grit in the final stretch, maintaining a narrow lead in a three-way dash to the wire.
Finishing second was Opus One, trained by Suraj Prasad Shaw and ridden by S. Antony Raj, who timed 1:24.376. He posed a serious threat to the winner but fell just short in the final strides.
Divine Art, guided by Suraj Narredu and trained by Satish Narredu, secured third place with a timing of 1:24.515, rounding off a tightly contested top three.
