The penultimate race of Day 9 at the Mysore Summer Races 2025 saw Decacorn deliver a decisive performance to win The Shuntikoppa Plate Div-1, a 1400-meter handicap for horses rated 60 and above. The contest carried a prize purse of ₹7,00,000 and was run at 4:30 PM in ideal racing conditions.
Trained by Ruban P and guided by jockey Hindu Singh, Decacorn surged ahead in the final stretch to clock 1:24.344, showcasing both speed and composure. The 5-year-old is owned by Mr. Varun K.P, who celebrated a well-deserved victory.
Kanya Rashi, ridden by S. Antony Raj and trained by Vinesh V Naik, made a strong bid but had to settle for second place with a time of 1:24.664. Just behind was Rise Again, piloted by Y.S. Srinath for trainer Fahad Khan, who finished third, stopping the clock at 1:24.687.
