Biometric sets the pace early on day 9 of Mysore Summer Races 2025

The ninth day of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 kicked off in fine fashion on Wednesday, July 23, with Biometric registering an emphatic win in The Konark Plate Div-2, a 1200-meter handicap for horses rated 20 to 45. Trained by Rakesh and ridden confidently by A. Ayaz Khan, the winner crossed the finish line in 1:13.222, securing the first prize of ₹2,25,000.

Owned by Mr. Ujash Mahendra Patel, Biometric surged ahead in the final furlong, showing a smart turn of foot and resilience under pressure. The victory marked a promising start to what promises to be a high-stakes racing day, culminating in the feature event, the Mysore Summer Million 2025, offering a purse of ₹11,12,500.

Finishing a close second was Serai, trained by J. S. Pillay and piloted by L. Alex Rozario, who clocked 1:13.283. Despite a game effort and maintaining a strong pace through the stretch, Serai was narrowly edged out in the final moments of the race.

The third spot went to Fara, with S. Mubarak in the saddle for trainer Bipin V. Salvi, timing in at 1:13.598.

The Konark Plate Div-2 set the tone for what is expected to be a thrilling day of competition at the Mysore Race Club. The action now moves to the next event on the card, The Paschimavahini Plate, where fresh contenders will look to make their mark.
