The 16th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting began with a strong display in the opening event — The R R Byramji Memorial Million (Div II) — a maiden race for 3-year-olds over 1200 metres. Run under “good going” conditions, the contest featured a total prize purse of ₹11,00,000. The penetrometer reading stood at 3.2 cm, and the rail was positioned 5 metres away from the original line from the 1600m mark to the winning post. Though the weather remained cloudy, the track held up well despite light rain being expected.

Victory belonged to Hidden Dreams, trained by Narayana Gowda V and ridden with confidence by Rajesh Kumar M. The runner set the pace early and maintained a clear lead to stop the clock at 1:13.10. Owned by Mr. Reethan B K, Hidden Dreams kicked off the afternoon’s proceedings on a positive note for the connections.

Mai Tai, from the yard of Altamash Ahmed, was guided into second place by P. Trevor. Tracking the leader through much of the race, Mai Tai stayed on well to finish in 1:13.95, showing promise for upcoming runs.

Completing the top three was My Honey, trained by Irfan Ghatala and partnered by L. Alex Rozario. My Honey ran a steady race and finished in 1:15.04, securing a place in the frame.

With the maiden opener concluded, the focus now shifts to the next event — The Commanche Plate — as another competitive afternoon unfolds at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC).
