HALLANDALE BEACH, FL — Gulfstream Park Saturday racing will feature a 10-race programme highlighted by several stakes-calibre runners, with the afternoon beginning at 12:20 p.m. The card will include important races for young horses as well as established performers competing over the main track and turf.

The fifth race will open a six-race sequence for the afternoon, with a maiden special weight for two-year-old fillies over five furlongs on the main track. A field of 10 is set to line up, headed by Epic Reay, who finished second over six furlongs on debut on September 4. The daughter of Epicenter is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner A Mo Reay and will now step back to a shorter distance.

Gulfstream Park Saturday Card Features Palm Bay and Miami Mile

Race 7 will bring together two-year-olds over a one-turn mile in the $75,000 Palm Bay event. Stick Talk, fourth behind the unbeaten stakes winner Sum of Success in the seven-furlong Express Tour on September 5, will return to competition.

Holy Warrior, third in that same contest, will also take his place in the field from the inside draw. The race promises to provide another useful test for a group of promising young runners as they stretch out to a mile.

Race 8 will carry considerable depth, with several accomplished performers entered for the $65,000 Miami Mile over two turns on the turf.

Grade 1 winner Win for the Money heads a strong group that also includes fellow millionaire and multiple graded-stakes winner Neat, Grade 2 winner Steal Sunshine and Grade 3-placed Divin Propos.

The Miami Mile is scheduled for a 4:20 p.m. start and will provide one of the afternoon’s main attractions at Gulfstream Park.

Proctor Street and Eponine Renew Rivalry at Woodbine

Away from Florida, Woodbine will stage the Dance Smartly Stakes (G2), where Proctor Street and Eponine will renew their rivalry after finishing first and second respectively in the Canadian Stakes (G2).

The Dance Smartly will also serve as a qualifying opportunity for the 2027 Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G2), scheduled for January 30 at Gulfstream Park.

Proctor Street arrives with a solid record in major turf company. After finishing eighth in last year’s Pegasus Filly & Mare Turf, the Brendan Walsh-trained runner placed third in the Hillsborough Stakes (G2) at Tampa earlier this year. Further placings came in the Modesty Stakes (G3) and Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes (G3), both at Churchill Downs.

Warming, trained by Graham Motion, will also command attention after winning the Yellow Ribbon Stakes (G2) at Del Mar. Warming began the 2026 season with a second-place finish in Gulfstream Park’s South Beach event.

The Woodbine contest adds another significant dimension to a Saturday programme that brings together developing two-year-olds, accomplished turf performers and horses with established stakes credentials.

Friday Notes from Gulfstream Park

Jockey Leonel Reyes recorded a three-win afternoon on Friday, scoring aboard Mitzman in Race 1, Eileen’s a Warrior in Race 5 and Veronika Z in Race 6. Mitzman and Veronika Z are both trained by Jose D’Angelo.

Samy Camacho also enjoyed a successful afternoon, riding Starship Daytona to victory before partnering Mish to another win in Race 8.

The victory marked the 15th win from 45 career starts for the nine-year-old Florida-bred gelding Mish, who has now recorded five victories from nine starts during the current season.

Miguel Vasquez completed his afternoon with wins aboard Rogue Runner in Race 7 and Happy Memories in Race 9.

The combination of established stakes performers and promising younger horses should make Gulfstream Park Saturday racing one of the key meetings to follow, with the Miami Mile providing the afternoon’s principal attraction.
