The Hyderabad Monsoon Races 2025 opened on a lively note this Monday, October 20, with the 1st race — The Nijinsky Plate (Div II), a Class IV handicap for maiden horses three years old and upward rated 20 to 45. Run over 1200 metres at 1:50 PM, the contest saw Greif (J: P. Sai Kumar / T: K. S. V. Prasad Raju) deliver an assertive maiden success for Ms S Prasad Raju Mukund Kakani, stopping the clock at 1:11.204 — a fluent and professional performance that marked him as one to watch this season.

Breaking smartly from the gates, Greif settled nicely behind the early pace before jockey P. Sai Kumar produced him at just the right moment.
