From middle-distance handicaps to a promising novice contest, the meeting showcased competitive racing and strong finishes on the Norfolk coast.
The day’s feature was the Juddmonte EBF Restricted Novice Stakes (Class 2) over seven furlongs, the highest-class contest on the card. The race highlighted the potential of young thoroughbreds, with Keep Grating (IRE) producing an accomplished display under Joe Leavy. Showing maturity beyond experience, the winner travelled comfortably before quickening impressively in the closing stages to secure victory. The performance suggested that Keep Grating could continue progressing through the ranks in the months ahead.

De Sousa’s experience proved valuable as he positioned the horse perfectly before asking for the winning effort, resulting in a convincing success.
The penultimate race, The Bodhi Solutions – Commercial Fit-Out Challenge “Confined” Handicap Stakes (Class 6) over one mile, two furlongs and 32 yards, belonged to Nuptown Girl, partnered by Ryan Kavanagh. The mare showed excellent stamina and determination throughout the contest, gradually improving her position before taking command in the latter stages. She maintained her momentum all the way to the finish to record a well-deserved victory and reward her connections with a notable success.
The meeting concluded with The Price Bailey LLP Norwich “Confined” Handicap Stakes (Class 6) over five furlongs and 42 yards, providing an exciting sprint finale. Dragon God, ridden by Tom Marquand, produced a powerful finishing burst to land the concluding race. Displaying impressive early speed before maintaining a strong gallop to the line, Dragon God ensured the meeting ended on a high note with a polished performance over the shortest trip on the programme.
