On the East Anglian seaside stage, Great Yarmouth Racecourse will stage a six-race evening programme on Wednesday, 20 May, featuring juvenile novice contests alongside a sequence of handicap events across sprint, middle-distance and staying divisions. The fixture will include races ranging from 5f 42y to 1m 6f 17y and will provide opportunities for both emerging two-year-old talent and experienced campaigners across a varied schedule.

The evening programme will begin at 5:35pm with the British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes (Class 4). Run over 5f 42y, the contest will offer £11,000 in prize money and will be restricted to two-year-old fillies. The opening event will feature 11 runners, including Alpaca’s Bullet, Halliwell Stream, Harlequin Sky, Havana Grey Star, Havana Lightning, Havana Sprite and Minnie Bear. The race will provide an early assessment of juvenile speed and development.

The card will continue at 6:10pm with the British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (Class 2). Scheduled over 6f 3y, the race will carry the highest purse of the evening at £40,000 and will also be limited to two-year-olds. A field of eight runners will include Ardad Steve, Boysofwallstreet, Conciliate, Easy Answer, Peaceful Warrior, Prince Kameo and Rogue Imperial. The contest will likely serve as one of the principal juvenile features of the meeting.

Attention will then shift to older horses at 6:40pm in the Join Moulton Racing Club Handicap Stakes (Class 5). The race will be staged over 1m 2f 23y, will offer £8,400 in prize money and will be open to horses aged four years and older. The eight-runner field will include Law Supreme, King’s Hand, Solanna, Dream Pirate, Goldie Trickett, Special Breeze and Jack Sparowe. Distance management and race positioning will likely become significant factors.

The staying examination of the evening will arrive at 7:10pm in the Get Raceday Ready Handicap Stakes (Class 5). Run across 1m 6f 17y, the race will carry £8,400 and will feature six runners aged four years and above. Relocal, Golden Garden, Betelgeuse, Iwantmytimewithyou, Saratoga Gold and Dereham will line up in a contest expected to place emphasis on stamina and sustained finishing ability.

At 7:40pm, the programme will move to the Handicap Stakes (Class 6) over 1m 3y. The race will provide £7,200 in prize money and will be open to horses aged four years and above. The 10-runner contest will include Kamaway, Timely Affair, Emery Down, Tilani, Poke The Bear, Havana Tobouggaloo and Ribston Pippin in a race that will likely present closely matched competition.

The evening card will conclude at 8:10pm with the Raceday Ready App Handicap Stakes (Class 5) over 7f 3y. Offering £8,400 in prize money and open to four-year-olds and upwards, the closing contest will bring together 11 runners, including Tennessee Gold, Ziggy’s Condor, Noble Guest, Rogue Allegiance, Tactical Plan, Giorgio M and Chilly Breeze. The final event will bring the programme to a close with another competitive handicap field.

The Great Yarmouth fixture will present a balanced racing schedule combining juvenile development contests with established handicap competition across a broad range of distances and conditions.
