Gold Ride race result was the highlight of Race 5 at the Mysore Monsoon Races 2026 Meeting on Thursday, October 8, as the Ramanathan R-trained runner edged a closely fought 1200-metre contest at Mysore Race Club. Ridden by N. Darshan, Gold Ride stopped the clock at 1:10.069 at 4:00 PM for owners GMMSR Advisory Services LLP, represented by Dr Muthiah Ramaswamy and Mr Chaduranga Kanthraj Urs.
Gold Ride was kept in contention through the race before producing the required acceleration in the closing stages. N. Darshan timed the challenge well and the winner responded strongly when it mattered, finding enough to hold off the late challenges and secure the S M Cama Music and Production Pvt. Ltd. Million by a narrow margin.
Art Collector, ridden by Siddaraju.P and trained by Imtiaz Khan, finished second in 1:10.112, just 0.043 seconds behind the winner. Perfect Blend, with Saqlain.S in the saddle and Saddam Iqbal in charge, was third in 1:10.153. The extremely tight timings underlined the competitive nature of the finish, with all three separated by less than a tenth of a second.
With Race 5 concluded, attention now turns to The Belur Plate (Div I), scheduled for 4:30 PM at Mysore Race Club as the 11th day of the Mysore Monsoon Races 2026 continues.
