COORG GENERAL Storms Home to Win The Girinagara Plate at Mysore
The opening race of Day 10 at the Mysore Summer Races 2025 saw a thrilling finish as Coorg General, ridden confidently by Jockey Antony Raj S. and trained by K. Aditya, surged ahead to claim the Girinagara Plate. Covering the 1400-metre trip in an impressive 1:25.773, the gelding delivered a strong performance for his owners, M/s Kites Network Pvt Ltd & Mr Suchendra Bal Rajurs.
Chasing the winner closely was Miracle Honey, under Jockey Koshi Kumar and prepared by Trainer S. Ashwin Rao, who clocked 1:26.272, showing promise with a late dash. Armament, guided by Jockey M. J. Gautam Raj Urs and trained by Ranjeet Shinde, claimed the third spot with a time of 1:27.137.
Pre-race favourites Brocston (Jockey J. Paswan / Trainer Rakesh) and Alluring Beauty (Jockey Rajesh K. / Trainer Rakesh) had to settle for fourth and fifth places respectively, despite strong yard representation.
The action doesn’t stop here – up next is the Nethravati Plate Division II, a competitive Class IV 1400m contest where Phoenix Gold and Victoriano are expected to draw heavy attention from punters.
