Several of Ireland’s leading trainers, including Aidan O’Brien, Gordon Elliott, W.P. Mullins, Joseph Patrick O’Brien and Noel Meade, will be represented across the evening card.
Setting the stage for the evening, Race 1 – The Novice Hurdle, scheduled for 17:10, will open proceedings over 2m130yds with prize money of €21,000. Arouet, trained by P. Twomey and partnered by D. King, will be among the leading contenders alongside Gordon Elliott’s Mino Des Mottes under J.W. Kennedy. Thomas Cooper’s Mento will also be expected to play a prominent role in an informative opening contest.
Building the momentum, Race 2 – The Handicap Hurdle, scheduled for 17:40, will be contested over 2m130yds for a purse of €17,500. W.P. Madbadanddangerous for Noel Meade, Confused from the Mrs John Harrington stable and Themis for Joseph Patrick O’Brien will be among the principal contenders in the middle-distance handicap.
Drawing the meeting to a close, Race 7 – The Flat Race, scheduled for 20:20, will conclude the programme over 2m130yds for €17,000. Conor’salwaysright from the P.J. Rothwell yard, Ddakji for Conor Houlihan and Dreams Are Forever, trained by Noel Meade, are expected to feature prominently in the concluding bumper.
