The momentum of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2025 – Day 4 continued into the afternoon as the Pendragon Plate Div II, a 1200-meter handicap for horses rated 20 to 45, unfolded at 3:00 PM. Offering a prize purse of Rs.5,10,000, the fourth race of the day delivered yet another authoritative performance from trainer Aravind G., who secured his second win of the card.

Flash, ridden with finesse by Rayan Ahmed R., emerged as the standout performer, taking command in the final 200 meters to clinch a decisive win in 1:14.14. The four-year-old gelding showed a sharp turn of foot and raced with focus and fluidity, leaving the competition behind in the closing stages.

Legendary Impact, under jockey Vivek G. and trained by V. Lokanath, gave chase gamely but had to settle for second, finishing in 1:15.06. The gelding ran a strong race and looked threatening entering the straight, but couldn’t overhaul the winner’s momentum.

Completing the frame was Basilica, piloted by Neeraj Rawal and trained by S.S. Attaollahi, who crossed the line in 1:15.89. Despite a steady finish, Basilica found the pace a bit sharp, though still managed a respectable third in a field stacked with mid-tier sprinting talent.

This victory by Flash further solidifies Aravind G.’s excellent run this season, with the stable clearly tuned to peak form. It also marks a notable win for Rayan Ahmed R., whose composed ride ensured they dominated the 1200m contest with authority.

All eyes now shift to the next feature on the card — the V.T. Velu Memorial Trophy. Stay tuned for more from the Bangalore Turf Club as racing action continues through the day.
