A mare carrying one of the most internationally recognised pedigrees in the catalogue has emerged as the headline act of the Inglis Digital May (Late) Online Sale, which is now officially open for bidding ahead of Thursday’s close.

Inglis Digital May (Late) Sale

Fiorenza, a daughter of elite sire Kingman, is being offered as both a racing and breeding prospect and arrives with the kind of pedigree that consistently attracts global attention. The mare is a winning half-sister to multiple American Group 1 winner In Italian, adding further depth to an already distinguished family page.

Inglis Bloodstock Sales Manager Harry Bailey described Fiorenza as a “Chairman’s-quality’’ mare, pointing to the strength and continued progression of her pedigree.

According to Bailey, the family continues to improve with every season, featuring three Group 1 winners within the first two dams and a long list of black-type performers across the page. He also noted that several of Fiorenza’s siblings have commanded seven-figure prices in the sale ring, underlining the commercial strength attached to the family.

The influence of Kingman remains one of the major attractions. The stallion has produced more than 100 Stakes winners globally, including Australian Group 1 winners King Colorado and Zardozi. His reputation as a source of high-class performers has only enhanced Fiorenza’s appeal as a future broodmare prospect.

Bailey also praised the mare’s physical qualities, highlighting her balance, refinement and athleticism, traits he said reflected the combination of Kingman and broodmare sire Redoute’s Choice.

Beyond Fiorenza, the catalogue includes several notable racing prospects. West Of Swindon, a Group 2-winning three-year-old colt by Wootton Bassett, features prominently after placing behind top-level performer Beiwacht during his juvenile campaign.

Another horse expected to draw strong interest is Hidden Achievement, a lightly raced son of I Am Invincible who finished runner-up to Cool Archie in the Group 1 JJ Atkins as a two-year-old.

Both colts have reportedly completed Hong Kong veterinary requirements and carry ratings of HK75 and HK72 respectively, factors likely to enhance overseas demand.

The online catalogue also includes a stallion share in Sword Of State, whose early results at stud have generated considerable attention after producing two Stakes winners from his first five Australian runners. The son of Snitzel will stand the upcoming season at Cambridge Stud at a service fee of NZ$50,000 plus GST.

Overall, the Inglis Digital May (Late) Sale features 398 lots, including racehorses, broodmares, young stock, stallion shares and breeding rights, offering buyers a broad cross-section of opportunities across the bloodstock market.

The sale will close from 10am on Thursday, with organisers extending the timetable by a day to avoid overlapping with the National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast.
