The first extra day of the Mysore Summer Races kicked off with a bang at Mysore Race Club, as Falcon Fury soared to victory in the maiden event, the Tapathi Plate. The race, exclusively for 3-year-old horses, covered a distance of 1100 meters and carried a total prize purse of Rs. 10,50,000, with the winner taking home Rs. 5,25,000.

Ridden skillfully by Varun and trained by M Pratap Kamath, Falcon Fury clinched the win in a tightly contested finish, crossing the line in a swift time of 1:06.498. The photo-finish victory added excitement to the back-to-back race day, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the packed crowd.

Close behind was Mysore Pharaoh, who secured second place with jockey Sah Farid Ansari aboard and training under M Pratap Kamath. Mysore Pharaoh completed the course in 1:06.876, narrowly missing out on the top spot.

Rounding out the podium was Arianne, expertly ridden by S. Antony Raj and trained by Feroz M Khan, finishing the race in 1:07.091. The trio demonstrated strong performance throughout, making the maiden contest highly competitive.

With this captivating opener setting the tone for the day, attention now shifts to the upcoming Queen of the Hills Plate Div II, promising more thrilling racing action at Mysore.
