The opener at 2:10 PM, the Happy Birthday Fiona Walker Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over 2m 5f 184y, saw Blue In The West (IRE) produce a strong staying performance under Shane Quinlan. Settled well in the early stages, the gelding travelled smoothly before asserting himself in the closing stretch. His stamina proved decisive, allowing him to pull clear on the run-in and secure a convincing victory.

At 2:40 PM, the Novices’ Selling Hurdle over 2m 2f 142y went to American Trio (IRE), ridden by Liam Harrison. Always prominent, the winner jumped fluently and maintained a consistent rhythm throughout. Turning for home in a strong position, he responded well when asked for effort and comfortably saw off his rivals.

The 3:10 PM handicap hurdle over 2m 192y produced a competitive contest, with Western Cross (IRE) emerging on top under Sean Houlihan. The race remained closely fought until the final stages, but Western Cross showed a smart burst of pace after the last hurdle to gain the advantage and finish strongly.

In the 3:40 PM “Junior” National Hunt Flat Race, Bannerdown delivered an eye-catching performance for Tom Bellamy. Showing promise throughout, the youngster travelled with ease before quickening in the straight. Despite limited experience, Bannerdown displayed maturity and composure to secure an impressive win.

Chasing action began at 4:10 PM with the Novices’ Handicap Steeple Chase over 2m 3f 48y, where Majestic Moment (IRE), partnered by Bryan Carver, produced a determined effort. His jumping remained solid throughout, and he maintained a steady gallop, holding off late challengers to take the race.

The feature staying contest at 4:40 PM, the Handicap Steeple Chase over 3m 65y, saw Saint Cyr de Pail (FR) put in a commanding display under Ciaran Gethings. Ridden patiently, he made steady progress before asserting dominance in the latter stages. His stamina was a key factor as he powered clear late on.

The final race at 5:10 PM, the Open Hunters’ Steeple Chase over 3m 65y, was won by Stumps Or Slips (IRE), ridden by Mr Zac Baker. Emphasizing endurance and accurate jumping, the winner stayed on strongly in the closing stages to secure victory and bring the meeting to a fitting conclusion.
