Brisbane Racing Club Prepares for Big Day at Doomben with Nine Races

Brisbane Racing Club is set to host an action-packed Wednesday Raceday on June 25th, 2025, at the iconic Doomben Racecourse, with a total of nine competitive races lined up. The gates open at 11:00 am, and the first race kicks off at 11:43 am, with the final event scheduled for 4:13 pm.

The opening contest is the Mekka Raceday 16 August Maiden Plate for two-year-old maidens, run over 1110 meters, offering prize money of $40,000. The field features promising youngsters including Gozo, Hit The Switch, Nordic Invader, Omphalos, Permission Granted, Rapid Ready, Aliquam, Blitzwater, Cool Moon, Five Of Us, Piertaga, Cornerback, Sharpoy, Castiglione, and Insain Lady.

Following that, at 12:13 pm, is The Gibson Maiden Plate for horses aged four years and older, covering 1350 meters with $40,000 in prize money. Contenders for this race include Amador, He Is The Kiss, Pharoah’s Prophecy, Ready For The Trip, Duck Out, Magical Eye, Mianda, Shirley Pearly, Spiritual Rhythm, and Sunchelle.

Race three is the Tattersall’s Tiara Raceday 28 June Maiden Plate for three-year-olds, also over 1350 meters with a $40,000 purse, scheduled for 12:43 pm. The line-up consists of Chief In Charge, Gas Brigade, Noire Emperor, Praise You, Rum Runner (NZL), Runaway Tycoon, Skorpios Isle, Use Your Illusion, Weona Redwood (NZL), Wiliamtheconqueror, Avior, and Flash Drive.

The Mullins Lawyers Handicap takes place at 1:18 pm over 1640 meters, with $38,000 up for grabs. Horses competing include Colleano, Larusso, Loch Awe, Jillaroo, Ranger Enjay, Bonfidelity, Blonde On Blonde, Hurricane Rosie, Pee Bee Noir, Vortexia, Optimus Maximus, and Star Anthem.

The fifth race of the day is the QCF Charity Raceday 19 July Handicap, also run over 1640 meters with prize money of $38,000, starting at 1:53 pm. The field includes Coin Toss, Mississippi Prince, Tapildoodledo (NZL), Zoology (GBR), Eaglemont (IRL), October (NZL), Arizona Dreaming, Nerano, Silver Warrior (ZAF), and Classique Gal.

At 2:28 pm, the next Handicap event takes place over 1350 meters, offering $38,000 in prize money. Contenders lining up are Dream Lantern, More Love, Rocketeer Girl, Jenchick Boom, Lights Of Paradise, Ringer’s Reward, Pele Princess, Chayse ‘N’ Adam, Tigon Princess, Kamariya, Iron Grace, Bengal Diamond, and Hello In There.

Race seven, the Gold Handicap, will be run over 1350 meters with $38,000 in prize money at 3:03 pm. The race features Victory Command (NZL), Zouthur (NZL), El Pensador, Ambassadors, Tambourine Man, Caracoron (NZL), Cressbrook, Treasurer, Hereditary (NZL), Eastown, Von Bee (NZL), and Hayaku.

The penultimate race is the Sky Racing Handicap, featuring a strong field over 1110 meters with $50,000 in prize money at 3:38 pm. Horses competing include Gin A Tonic, Tiger Tie, Alpha Bravo, Dance For Me Randy, Paro, Territory Ash, Neil, Six More Songs, Queenstar, and Hey Chardonnay.

Concluding the day’s proceedings is the final Handicap event at 4:13 pm over 1110 meters, with prize money of $38,000. Runners for the closing race are Emperor, Thelwell, Certainlycan, Keep Safe, Bravely, Hoot ‘N’ Holler, Fourth Spargo, Ellibaby, Greyzous, and Araletta.
