Reserved for horses rated 40 to 65, the 1200-metre race offered a total prize of ₹6,30,000 and served as a pivotal mid-card event with several proven contenders in the fray.
Excellent Lass lived up to expectations with a sharp and measured performance, clinching the race under the confident guidance of Yash Narredu for trainer Rajesh Narredu. The runner stopped the clock at 1:12.76 with a commanding finish and raced in the silks of Mr Daulat Chhabria, Mr Ashok Ranpise, Mr. Teja Gollapudi, M/s. Giving a spirited chase was Densetsu, ridden by P. Trevor and trained by James Mckeown, who kept the winner within striking distance through the straight but had to settle for second after a competitive effort in 1:12.87.
Darrion, handled by K. Sai Kiran and trained by Pradeep Annaiah, completed the top three with a game run, showing consistency and maintaining momentum in the final stages finished the race in 1:13.29.
