It was a day of excitement and high hopes at the Inglis Digital November (Early) Online Sale as the talented three-year-old Equerry (Snitzel) captured hearts and topped the sale for $340,000, setting his sights on a new chapter in Hong Kong.

Trained by Chris Waller and offered by a Coolmore-led ownership group, Equerry has already shown his class, winning two of his four starts, including an impressive victory at Randwick just yesterday. His sale to Hong Kong-based Mr T Leung signals a bright future for the promising colt.

“He looks a very promising young horse that we think will fit in well up in Hong Kong,” Mr Leung said. “We will sit down in coming days to work out a trainer and a program for him, but I think he is a very exciting horse.”

Coolmore’s John Kennedy echoed the sentiment, praising both Equerry and the Inglis Digital platform. “That’s a phenomenal result. Equerry won very impressively yesterday and looks to have a bright future. I wish Mr Leung all the best with him. With Half Yours, last year’s Melbourne Cup winner, selling on Inglis Digital, we hope Equerry can achieve similar success in Hong Kong.”

Equerry’s move continues a proud tradition of Inglis Digital graduates excelling overseas. In 2025 alone, 21 individual graduates have won races in Hong Kong, including high-class performers Helios Express and Tomodachi Kokoroe. Since 2018, nearly 730 Inglis graduates have claimed victory in almost 2,000 races in the region — more than 230 individual winners than any other Australian auction house over the same period.

The sale’s second-top lot, the rising mare Silent Shares, was snapped up by trainer Gavin Bedggood for $140,000. Bedggood, who had trained the mare to two recent victories, was keen to retain her from rival trainers. “The owner is reducing his racing stock and I think this mare has good residual in her. She’s far from at her peak, so I was happy to keep her,” he said. “She’ll race around Christmas time, and there are still shares available for anyone wanting to get involved.”

The November (Early) Sale continues Inglis Digital’s strong year, with 118 lots selling for $100,000 or more and 38 lots exceeding $200,000 in 2025. The sale’s total gross reached $2,290,800, adding to a remarkable week that also saw Half Yours, purchased for $305,000 last year, win the $10m G1 Melbourne Cup at Flemington.

Looking ahead, entries are now open for the Inglis Digital November (Late) Online Sale, running from November 14–19. Before that, a Spring Boutique auction will feature G2 winner Coeur Volante (Proisir), a three-time stakes-winning five-year-old mare offered as a racing and breeding prospect.
