Shah Gold Trophy, a Class IV contest for Indian horses rated 20 to 46 (0 to 19 eligible), run over 2400 metres on Sunday, 12th October 2025 at 2:00 PM. Displaying stamina and tactical brilliance, Endurance (J: C. S. Jodha, T: Imtiaz A. Sait) powered to victory in a commanding 2:34:088 for owners Mr Homi Mehta, Mrs Homi Mehta, Mr Jehangir Mehta, Mrs Liane Luthria, and Mr Milan Luthria.
From the break, Endurance settled comfortably behind the early leaders, conserving energy while keeping a watchful eye on the frontrunners. As the field approached the home turn, C. S. Jodha expertly guided the gelding to the outside, unleashing a decisive burst of speed that saw Endurance surge past rivals and cross the line with authority, leaving no doubt about the superiority of his performance.
Runner-up honours went to Land of Plenty (J: Ramswarup, T: Subhag Singh), who stayed prominent throughout and finished in 2:34:426, just a length behind the winner. Third place was claimed by Looking Like a Wow (J: Antony Raj S., T: Subhag Singh) in 2:34:714, ensuring the podium was tightly contested with mere fractions separating the top three.
With the Jayant M. Shah & Champak M. Shah Gold Trophy concluded, attention now turns to the 3rd race of the day, The Pune Police Commissioner’s Trophy, set to test speed and strategy over the 1400-metre course at 2:30 PM.
