The second race on the card at the Bangalore Summer Meeting- Day 7, The Ascot Plate, delivered a thrilling contest as ELYSIUM surged to an impressive victory in the 1400-meter maiden event exclusively for three-year-olds. Scheduled at 2:30 PM, the race carried a handsome purse of ₹1,100,000 and attracted a competitive field eager to break their maiden tag.
Trained by the accomplished S.S. Attaollahi and partnered by top jockey Akshay Kumar, ELYSIUM looked every bit the professional despite the relative inexperience of the field. Well-positioned from the start, the filly displayed a strong turn of foot in the final furlong, distancing himself from the field in commanding fashion to register a well-deserved win by timing at 1:25.10.
Giving chase with grit and determination was KISS OF GREY, trained by S. Narredu and piloted by Yash Narredu. The grey filly made a bold bid in the straight but couldn’t quite match the finishing speed of the winner as it timed at 1:27.09. Nevertheless, it was a promising effort that suggests better days ahead.
Completing the frame was MACHIAVELLIAN, saddled by A. Prakash and trained by Adhiraj Singh Jodha who completed the race in 1:27.25. The colt showed flashes of potential during the run and held on gamely to take third, ensuring a strong showing for his connections.
The track continued to favor runners with tactical speed, aided by fair weather and well-maintained turf. As the dust settled on this keenly contested maiden race, the focus at Bangalore now shifts to the upcoming Rare Gem Plate (Div II), promising more action and excitement as the day unfolds.
Stay tuned for more updates as the Bangalore Summer Meeting- Day 7, continues to gather momentum.

Elysium is a filly. What you’re trying here is good, rather than just give a description of the race, be a little different from the other websites. Get quotes and opinions from the connections of the horses.
