The second race on the card at the Bangalore Turf Club’s summer meeting, saw Efficacy produce a strong front-running effort to land the Red Divine Plate. This 1100-metre terms race was open exclusively to maiden three-year-olds and carried a total prize allocation of Rs. 11,00,000.
Trained by S. S. Attaollahi and ridden confidently by Shreyas Singh S, Efficacy struck the front and held the position with authority to cross the line in 1:08.20, registering a maiden win in fine style. The winner is owned by Mr. Daulat Chhabria, Mr. Maloji Baburao Bhosale, and Mrs. Anasuya Gupta, a combination that will be pleased with this promising breakthrough.
Taking second was My Honey, saddled by Irfan Ghatala and ridden by L. Alex Rozario, who made steady progress to finish in 1:09.41 but couldn’t threaten the leader.
Midnight Blue, trained by Rajesh Narredu and partnered by A. A. Vikrant, rounded off the top three in 1:09.69.
With two races done and a strong tempo set for the afternoon, attention now shifts to the third race, the Honey Day Plate.
