Dubai Racing Club and Jockey Club Partnership Extended Following Strong 2025 Debut

Dubai UK Racing Partnership renewal between Dubai Racing Club and The Jockey Club
By | 16 Dec 2025 | Mumbai

The Dubai Racing Club partnership with The Jockey Club has been renewed after a successful first season in 2025, reinforcing the cooperative relationship between the two leading racing organisations. The continuation of the agreement reflects the positive experience both parties shared during their initial year of collaboration.

As part of the renewed reciprocal arrangement, The Jockey Club will sponsor the Jumeirah Stakes, a 1400-metre Conditions race for three-year-olds, scheduled to be run on 2 January 2026. In return, Dubai Racing Club will sponsor a 1000-metre handicap to be staged at the Newmarket July Course on 10 July.

The partnership builds on last season’s exchanges, which produced competitive and notable results. In 2025, the Dubai Racing Club Handicap was won by Leadman, trained by David O’Meara, while the Jumeirah Stakes, then sponsored by The Jockey Club, was claimed by Age Of Gold from the Charlie Appleby yard.

Commenting on the renewal, Al Ali Ali, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Racing Club, said the organisation had thoroughly enjoyed working with The Jockey Club during the first season of the partnership. He highlighted the increasingly global nature of racing and noted that initiatives such as this allow different jurisdictions to learn from one another for the benefit of the wider industry.

Sophie Able, International Director for The Jockey Club, also welcomed the continuation of the agreement, describing the relationship between Dubai and British racing as longstanding and deeply valued. She noted that the collaboration is built on a shared commitment to excellence within the sport.

Able added that welcoming Dubai Racing Club to the July Festival further underlined the strength and importance of the partnership. She expressed enthusiasm for exploring new opportunities to bring British and Dubai racing closer together alongside His Excellency Ali Al Ali and his team.

With the Dubai Racing Club and Jockey Club partnership now confirmed for another season, both organisations look set to continue strengthening international links through reciprocal race sponsorships in 2026.
