Meydan Racecourse is preparing to come alive again this winter, with tickets now on sale for the 2026–27 Dubai Racing Carnival ahead of its opening meeting on Friday, November 6.

From November through March, the celebrated Dubai venue will once again combine international racing with the atmosphere that has made its Friday meetings one of the city’s most recognisable sporting occasions. Sixteen race meetings are scheduled across the season, accompanied by new restaurants, returning race-day favourites and an expanded hospitality programme.

For racing followers, the countdown now begins to another winter under the lights at Meydan, where horses from different racing jurisdictions traditionally converge and where several of the season’s biggest evenings have developed their own distinct identity.

The new Carnival will bring back the familiar rhythm of Friday racing while giving visitors more choices away from the track.

Bisou, Alba and Himitsu are among the new venues joining Meydan’s hospitality line-up this season, broadening the dining options available across the racecourse.

Dubai Racing Club has also partnered with The Meydan Hotel to introduce a new experience at Silks Restaurant, one of the best-positioned hospitality areas inside the Grandstand.

Located on the third floor, Silks overlooks both the racetrack and Parade Ring and will offer a five-hour gourmet buffet, beverages and reserved seating. Its position gives guests a view of both the preparation before racing and the action once the runners head onto the track.

Big Fridays Return to Meydan

The major dates on the Dubai Racing Carnival 2026-27 calendar will again provide some of the season’s most anticipated evenings.

Festive Friday will be staged on December 18, followed by Fashion Friday on January 22 and Emirates Super Saturday on February 27.

The three meetings will also see the return of The MAINE, the international brasserie and oyster bar, which will operate at Meydan on each of those feature days.

Those dates have become important landmarks in the Carnival season, combining stronger racing programmes with the larger crowds and distinctive atmosphere associated with Meydan’s showcase occasions.

The Parade Ring Lounge will also return, giving visitors a close-up view of the horses before they head to the start, while the Finish Line Brunch will again provide a track-facing social setting.

For racegoers who prefer a more informal experience, the Paddock Garden will continue to expand its food offering.

Flip Smash Burgers, Pull Me Pizzeria, El Chapos Tacos and Berry Dip will join returning names including McGettigan’s, Ration’d and Little Fox by Rowley’s.

General Admission, meanwhile, will continue to provide railside access together with casual food and beverage outlets, keeping an entry-level option available for spectators who simply want to be close to the racing.

Prices start from AED10 for General Admission and AED75 for the Paddock Garden, while hospitality packages begin at AED345.

Sixteen Meetings Across the Winter

Season memberships for the Dubai Racing Carnival 2026-27 are also now available and will provide access to all 16 race meetings.

The membership experience will be hosted at Horsemen’s Lounge on Level 1 and will include premium viewing, five hours of hospitality and additional race-day benefits throughout the campaign.

Private hospitality suites will also be available during the season for corporate events, celebrations and client entertaining.

Taken together, the additions reflect how Meydan has continued to develop beyond the traditional racecourse model.

The racing remains the centrepiece, but the modern Carnival has increasingly become a wider Friday destination, drawing regular racing followers alongside families, tourists, corporate groups and visitors looking for a major Dubai sporting experience.

Stable Tours Add to the Build-Up

The build-up to the opening meeting will begin before the first race is even run.

Behind-the-scenes stable tours are scheduled to return from October, giving racing fans the chance to see areas of Meydan normally hidden from public view and meet some of the horses preparing for the new campaign.

For followers accustomed to seeing the sport only from the Grandstand, the tours provide a closer look at the routines, preparation and stable environment that sit behind every race meeting.

Ali Al Ali, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Racing Club, said the aim remained to develop the Meydan experience while retaining the elements that have proved popular with returning racegoers.

“Each season Dubai Racing Club continues to enhance the guest experience at Meydan Racecourse, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re joining us for the racing, the hospitality, the dining or simply to experience the unique atmosphere of the Dubai Racing Carnival,” Al Ali said.

“We’re delighted to introduce a number of exciting new hospitality experiences this season, while continuing to build on many of the favourites our guests have come to know and love. We look forward to welcoming both returning and first-time visitors for another memorable season.”

That sense of continuity is likely to be important when Meydan reopens on November 6.

Racegoers will find new restaurants and new hospitality experiences, but the essentials remain familiar: Friday racing, an international field of horses, the Parade Ring filling before each contest and the Meydan Grandstand looking out across one of the most recognisable racing stages in the world.

As the Dubai Racing Carnival 2026-27 moves through the winter, attention will increasingly turn towards its major feature meetings, particularly Festive Friday, Fashion Friday and Emirates Super Saturday.

Before then, however, there is the opening night itself — the moment the lights come on, the horses return to the track and another Meydan season begins.

Tickets, memberships and hospitality packages for the 2026–27 Dubai Racing Carnival are now available through Dubai Racing Club.
