The seventh day of the Monsoon Meeting at Calcutta Races witnessed an exciting showdown in Race 5, The Stewards Cup, a terms race for horses aged four years and older over 1400 metres, held on Wednesday, 10th September 2025 at 03:45 PM. Dubai Princess (4Y B F), owned by Mr Mohammed Shakeel & Capt. Jamshed J. Appoo, produced a stunning performance under jockey P. Trevor, stopping the clock at 1:24.626 to claim a decisive victory.

From the break, Dubai Princess settled smoothly behind the early leaders before unleashing a powerful turn of foot in the final 300 metres. Guided expertly by Trevor, she weaved through tight gaps and surged ahead to dominate the field, showcasing both speed and composure that left spectators in awe. Trainer Patrick Quinn’s careful preparation was evident as the filly finished strongly, making the win look effortless.

The runner-up spot went to Vincent Van Gogh (6Y B G) under Mukesh Kumar for trainer B. Rajender Reddy, clocking 1:25.004 after maintaining a consistent challenge throughout. High Command (5Y B H), ridden by A. Ashhad Asbar for trainer L. V. R. Deshmukh, finished a close third in 1:25.136, rounding out a tightly contested top three.
