Drisana put in a commanding run to claim victory in the Ashwajaya Plate Div 1, the second last race of the day at the Mysore Race Club 2025 meeting. The sprint event, held over 1200 meters and open to horses rated 20 to 45, showcased a tightly contested field, but it was Drisana who surged ahead when it mattered most.
Ridden with poise by Anil Baandal, Drisana crossed the finish line in 1:13.029, outpacing her closest rivals with a strong final burst down the home stretch. The horse is owned by Mr. Mahesh V. Chakankar and trained by Pillay J S, marking another success for the connections this season.
Following closely behind was Bountiful Beauty, guided by S. Antony Raj, who clocked in at 1:13.440 for trainer Rakesh, showing determination but unable to close the gap in the final strides. The third place was secured by Martino, piloted by S.G. Prasad, finishing in 1:13.746 for trainer Gnanashekar A, rounding off a competitive top three in the sprint showdown.
