Dream Alliance Powers to Grade III Glory in JSK1 Eve Champion Trophy at Pune
The JSK1 Eve Champion Trophy (Grade III) delivered exactly what it promised, a high-class middle-distance contest, and it was Dream Alliance who surged to a decisive victory, bringing flair and stamina to the fore at Pune Racecourse.
Run over 2000 metres, the race brought together seasoned four-year-olds and older runners, but it was Antony Raj S. who produced a tactically astute ride on Dream Alliance, driving home trainer Imtiaz A. Sait’s charge in a smart 2:05.673.
The victory added another prestigious feather to the ownership group comprising Mr. Sudendu Shah, Mrs. Preeti C. Shah, Mrs. Pooja S. Shah, Dr. Rahul Shah, Mr. K. M. Shah, Mr. Tanmay V. Mathurawala, Mrs. Hiral Shah, and Mrs. Varsha Champak Shah.
Duke of Tuscany and Arkadian Stay Competitive
Among the challengers, Duke of Tuscany made a bold attempt under P. Trevor for Pesi Shroff, rallying late to secure second place in 2:06:083. The horse, though outpaced in the final furlong, showed admirable staying power.
Stablemate Arkadian, also from the Shroff yard and ridden by Vivek G., rounded off the placings in 2:06:332, running on from the rear and closing the race with intent.
With Dream Alliance stamping his class in the Grade III contest, attention now turns to the second last race of the day, The Animal Welfare Board Of India Trophy, where new narratives await.
