Doomben Racecourse Gears Up for Brisbane Racing Club’s Exciting Wednesday Card

Brisbane Racing Club is all set to host Wednesday Raceday at Doomben Racecourse on June 4th, 2025. Designed to provide a refreshing midweek break, the day promises an exciting line-up of ten competitive races. Racing action will commence in the late morning and continue into the afternoon, allowing enthusiasts to join the event at any time, even after work hours. Spectators will enjoy live racing on the track, along with interstate race broadcasts displayed on large screens throughout the venue. With free entry to the course, the event is expected to draw a significant crowd, making it an ideal midweek racing experience.

The race day will begin with the Become A BRC Member Maiden Plate, a 1110-meter contest scheduled for 11:21 am. Among the anticipated contenders are Certified Copy, to be ridden by Kyle Wilson-Taylor and trained by Bevan Laming, I’m Lucky Two under Emily Lang for trainer Michael Nolan, Mingela with Craig Williams and Tony Gollan, Summation ridden by Justin Huxtable for trainer Chris Anderson, and Blitzwater guided by Jag Guthmann and trained by Stuart Kendrick. Following that, the Mullins Lawyers QTIS 2YO Maiden Plate, a 1350-meter race at 11:57 am, will see Artistic Endeavour with jockey Andrew Mallyon and trainer Kelly Schweida, Green Spring under Ryan Maloney and the Archibald training duo, Hard As Brok with Craig Williams and David Vandyke, Mortal Halo again for the Archibalds and Jag Guthmann, and Provoker ridden by Michael Rodd for trainer Lee Freedman.

The third race, Breakfast With The Stars 10 June Maiden Handicap over 1350 meters at 12:33 pm, includes top prospects Dream Thinker with Angela Jones and Tony Gollan, French Empire under Jag Guthmann and the Archibalds, Battesimo ridden by Adin Thompson for Lawrie Mayfield-Smith, Cambridge Bay with Mark Du Plessis and the Hulberts, and Green Spring appearing again for Maloney and the Archibald stable. The Tattersalls Tiara Raceday 28 June Maiden Plate is scheduled next at 1:08 pm over 1640 meters. Likely contenders include Casterly Rock with Damien Thornton and Jack Bruce, Durban Harbour guided by Tahlia Fenlon for trainers John Symons and Sheila Laxon, Elroy under Taylor Marshall for Kim Anderson, Lucifer The Cat ridden by Michael Hellyer and trained by Vishan Venkaya, and Global with Jaden Lloyd and Bevan Laming.

At 1:43 pm, The Star Stradbroke Season F&M BM70 Handicap, a 1200-meter sprint, will feature Femme Fatale with Cejay Graham and Kelly Schweida, Dream Lantern with Justin Huxtable and Lindsay Hatch, Sultry Siren partnered with Angela Jones and Robert Heathcote, Gidday Gidday ridden by Cobi Vitler and trained by Nick Keal, and Shapin Power under Adin Thompson for Angela Plumb. The Mullins Lawyers Fred Best Classic, a 1350-meter event at 2:18 pm, includes Bosustow with Joshua Parr and the Archibalds, Angel Capital with Damien Thornton and trainer Chris Waller, Just Party under Nash Rawiller for the Ryan-Alexiou team, Media World with Regan Bayliss and Peter Snowden, and Pisces guided by Michael Rodd and James Cummings.

Following that, the Gold Class 1 & Maiden Plate over 2040 meters is set for 2:53 pm.
