Doncaster Racecourse will stage an eight-race Flat meeting on turf on Saturday, October 24, 2026, featuring a Group 1 contest, a Listed race and a series of handicap events. The programme will begin at 12:55 PM and conclude at 5:05 PM, bringing together two-year-old prospects and older horses across distances ranging from five furlongs to one mile and two furlongs. The meeting features a total of £460,000 in prize money across the eight races, with the William Hill Futurity Trophy Stakes standing out as the most valuable event of the day.

The highlight will be the William Hill Futurity Trophy Stakes, scheduled for 1:30 PM. The Class 1 Group 1 contest is restricted to two-year-olds and will be run over one mile, with £275,000 in prize money. The prestigious race provides an important opportunity for promising young horses to demonstrate their ability over a mile and establish their credentials for future seasons.

The meeting will open at 12:55 PM with the Richard James Hone Memorial Handicap Stakes. The Class 2 contest is open to horses aged three and above, rated between 86 and 105, and will be run over five furlongs and three yards. With £50,000 in prize money, the sprint will test the runners’ early speed, acceleration and ability to maintain their pace over a short distance.

At 2:05 PM, the William Hill Remembering Sue Wright Prospect Stakes, registered as the Doncaster Stakes, will take place over six furlongs and two yards. The Class 1 Listed race is restricted to two-year-olds and carries £50,000 in prize money. The contest will give emerging young sprinters an opportunity to compete at a higher level while demonstrating their speed and development.

The fourth race, scheduled for 2:40 PM, is the Spooky Spectacular Fireworks at Doncaster Racecourse Nursery Handicap Stakes. The Class 3 event is open to two-year-olds rated up to 95 and will cover seven furlongs and six yards. With £15,000 in prize money, the race will assess the developing runners’ ability to handle a longer trip while maintaining a consistent pace.

At 3:19 PM, the William Hill Epic Boosts Handicap Stakes will bring older and developing horses together over one mile. The Class 3 contest is open to runners aged three and above, rated between 76 and 95, and offers £18,400 in prize money. The mile distance will require a combination of speed, positioning and stamina as the runners approach the closing stages.

The sixth race at 3:55 PM is the William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Stakes. This Class 2 contest, designated as a GBBPLUS race, will be run over one mile, two furlongs and 53 yards, with an additional 10 yards specified in the race conditions. Open to horses aged three and above rated between 86 and 105, the event carries £30,000 in prize money. The longer distance will place greater emphasis on stamina and the ability to sustain a measured pace throughout the contest.

The final two races will feature separate divisions of the RFJ and Bee Jays Electrical Handicap Stakes. Division I is scheduled for 4:30 PM, followed by Division II at 5:05 PM. Both are Class 4 contests open to horses aged three and above, rated between 61 and 80, and will be run over seven furlongs and six yards. Each division carries £10,800 in prize money, providing comparable conditions for the participating runners.

Saturday’s Doncaster programme combines top-level competition with opportunities for younger horses and established runners across a variety of distances. The Group 1 Futurity Trophy Stakes will be the centrepiece of the meeting, while the Listed Doncaster Stakes and the six handicap contests will complete an afternoon of Flat racing on turf.
