The curtains came down on Day 6 of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 with a high-octane finish in The Hiriyur Plate, a 1200-meter handicap sprint for horses rated 40 to 65. Run at 5:00 PM with a prize purse of ₹5,75,000, the closing race of the day packed in pace, drama, and a razor-thin finish.
Claiming the win in commanding style was Decacorn, ridden with precision by Arvind Kumar N. and trained by Aditya K. Representing owner Mr. B.N. Prakash Raj Urs, the gelding flew down the straight to stop the clock at 1:11.455, securing a well-deserved victory in a field filled with speedsters.
Just a whisker behind came Miraculous Girl, trained by Ranjeet Shinde and guided by Abhishek Mhatre, who delivered a strong late challenge but fell just short. Her final timing of 1:11.489 made it one of the tightest finishes of the afternoon.
Rounding off the placings was Falcon Fury, trained by Pratap Kamath M and partnered by M. S. Deora, who ran a solid race to finish third in 1:12.698, staying on gamely despite the blistering early pace set by the leaders.
With Decacorn sealing the day’s finale in style, the summer racing action at Mysore now looks ahead to the next raceday on July 9th, 2025. As the sun sets over the track and the stands empty out, anticipation builds for what’s next in this exciting season.
